Soft Play in Milton Keynes

Here you’ll find a guide to soft play in Milton Keynes that we’ve tried and tested. I will be updating this list as we discover new places to visit. Keep your eyes out for updates!

Play 360

Play 360 is probably the most well known soft play in Milton Keynes. Play 360 has a 3 storey play frame, a toddler zone, carousel, cars, a role play street, a messy play area and an outside play area. It’s one of the soft play venues that I think has something for everyone of all ages, although my 2-year-old finds the toddler area a little dull, so not sure it’s the best area for more adventurous older toddlers – they’d probably prefer the main areas like mine does.

Opening times: Sessions are between 9:30 am – 5:30 pm Sunday – Thursday, and until 6 pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Sessions are 2 hours long
Price: Under 1’s are free, 1-3 years are from £8.75, 4-12 years are from £10.75, 13-17 years are from £5.95, and adults are from £3.95
Food and drink available? Yes, there’s a cafe area serving hot and cold food, drinks and snacks
Where to find it: 27 Roebuck Way, Knowlhill, Milton Keynes MK5 8HL

Safari MK

Safari MK is another much loved soft play venue in Milton Keynes. There are three different sections, one for older children, one for toddlers and babies, and one for role play. The under 4’s section is great for toddlers to run around in safely away from bumping into older children, and the role play area is perfect for encouraging your child imagination! The older children area has lots of things to climb, and some super whizzy slides!

Opening times: Everyday 9.15 am – 6 pm – please note you need to book a timeslot online, peak time slots are 2.5 hours long, off-peak slots are 3 hours
Price: Children 13-17 £3.25, 4+ years £9.25, 1-3 years £7.50, 6-11 months £1.50, under 6 months free, adults £3.25

Where to find it: 3 Carters Ln, Kiln Farm, Milton Keynes MK11 3ET

Big Mama’s Soft Play

Big Mama’s Soft Play Cafe is a great soft play offering for under 5’s. There’s a bouncy castle, ball pit, soft play shapes, ride along cars, and other toys for kids to play with. The best bit is that it’s laid out so that your kids can play while you can sit at a table and grab a drink and have a chat with friends!

MK Springers

Something for under 5’s is MK Springers Waddler to Toddler sessions. As well as soft play equipment you can play on some of the gymnastic equipment – including the trampolines. There are lots of things to climb on, and there are also some songs included in the sessions for your toddlers to join in with. It’s a great alternative if you don’t want to go to a soft play venue, but are still looking for your kids to burn off some energy.

Arabian School of Gymnastics

Somewhere else great for under 6’s, that’s similar to MK Springers, is the Arabian School of Gymnastics stay and play sessions. The sessions are pretty much identical to MK Springers where you’re given free run of the gymnastic equipment, and lots of things to run and jump on! When we’ve visited previously there’s also been a big bouncy castle, and lots of kids toys around to play with too!

Woburn Sands Emporium

If you’re looking for somwhere with a small soft play area, Woburn Sands Emporium have a small soft play within their restuarant. It’s a small area that’s great for younger children, with a slide, things to climb on and a ball bit. Sessions last for around 50 minutes on the hour. It’s been great for me to keep my daughter occupied while I have a coffee with friends! Only downside to this soft play is that food and drink isn’t allowed into the bit where the softplay is, which is fine if you have older children who can play independently.

Opening times: Sessions start on the hour between 9am – 5pm Monday to Saturday, and 10.30am – 4.30pm on a Sunday. There’s no need to prebook.
Price: £2.25 for an hour
Food and drink available? There is no food and drink allowed in the soft play, but it’s located next to the cafe
Where to find it: Newport Rd, Woburn Sands, Milton Keynes MK17 8UF

Dobbies Garden Centre

Another great garden centre option, is the soft play at Dobbies Garden Centre. This only recently opened, and we’ve already been to visit twice! It’s got a smaller area for children under 2, and a larger area with things to climb, slides and things to jump on! My 3-year-old loves it and has had a great time exploring. There’s some tables set up around the soft play so you can order food and drinks during your visit too. I even managed to have a sneaky slice of cake while Ivy was busy and didn’t notice – mum win!

Opening times: Monday – Saturday time slots between 9.15am and 4.45pm, Sunday time slots between 10.30am – 3.30pm
Price: £3 or £2.50 with a Dobbies card
Food and drink available? Yes
Where to find it: Belvedere Ln, Watling St, Bletchley, Milton Keynes MK17 9JH

Xscape

We found this soft play by accident one day, and were amazed to discover it’s completely free! You can find it in the Avalanche Cafe in the Xscape, opposite the windows overlooking the snowslopes. It’s only a small soft play, so I’d say it’s great if you have young children. We visited during the week so it was fairly quiet – but I imagine that this can get quite busy, particularly as it’s quite small. As it’s located in the cafe you can also order food & drink and watch everyone on the snowslopes!

Opening times: Monday – Friday 9am – 7pm, Weekends 9am – 4pm
Price: Free!
Food and drink available? Yes
Where to find it: 602 Marlborough Gate, Milton Keynes MK9 3XS – you can find it tucked away in the cafe overlooking the ski slopes

Little Munchkins Play Barn is located in Barton-le-Clay inside The Olde Watermill Shopping Village. It’s a cute little venue, perfect for under 5’s with a few different sections to play and explore, as well as an outside area with toys for warmer days. It’s laid out really well, and you can sit and have a coffee and see your little one play. We’ve been a couple of times and Ivy really loves all the different sections to play in – particularly the sand!

Little Liscombe Farmyard Soft Play

Since discovering Little Liscombe Farmyard Soft Play we’ve been loads! It’s defiently our favourite soft play, and I’ll happily drive the 40 minutes to it! It’s Farmyard themed, and we particularly love playing in the tractor. There’s a smaller section for babies, and a little sensory tunnel too. It’s laid out well with a viewing platform so you can see your children play as well which is great – if you haven’t guessed by now I love the chance to have a coffee while my daughter plays!

Opening Times: Monday – Friday 9am – 6pm, Weekends 9am – 4pm
Price: £4 per child and £2 per adult during peak times, and £2 per child and £1 per adult during off peak times

Riverside Hub

There’s no doubt that Riverside Hub is probably the best place for soft play around here! It’s absolutely huge, we’ve been several times and I always manage to find a new area still! There’s sensory rooms, an under 5’s play area, a role play village, laser tag, glow in the dark mini golf, interactive sand pits, cars, carosel, climbing frames – I tell you it’s huge!! We love visiting, and even my 12-year-old finds something fun to do here. Every year they also do their Christmas at the Hub event, which is easily the best grotto we’ve ever been to!

Opening Times: Timeslots are available Sunday – Friday between 9.15am – 6pm, and Saturday’s 9.15am – 7pm
Price: Adults £7.50, children 1-3 are £12, children 4-17 are £15 and under 12 months are £6. If you book on a saver day it’s 20% off before 2pm, and 40% off after 2pm
