About Me

Hey! I’m Lisa

I’m a 30 something year old mother who lives between Milton Keynes and Northampton.

Once upon a time I started a beauty blog called Lisahh-Jayne in my university bedroom when I was 19 in 2011. Over time I started writing more about food and adventures. Then in 2018 I met a man, became a stepmother, and had a baby in 2019 and writing about lipstick just wasn’t doing it for me anymore.

In 2021 after sometime off from the blog I decided to go in a new direction, started writing about days out and activities with my kids, and rebranded as Keyne to Explore. I still write the odd lifestyle post about motherhood, and our 2023 wedding as well as our adventures.

Facts About Me

    • – I live in South Northants with my partner Chris, we previously lived in Milton Keynes
    • – I met Chris in 2018 on one of those swipey apps and sent him messages about sandwiches
    • – I have two children – Ivy who was born in 2019, and my stepson Reuben who was born in 2010 and lives with us at weekends
    • – I was born in Bedfordshire and had no intention of moving out of there until I met my partner and moved in with him in 2019
    • – I have a deaf cat called Jeff and a pet snake called Severus. Jeff is the loudest cat you’ll ever meet, and Severus is pretty boring, I actually forget he’s there half the time
    • – I work in the marketing department for a wedding venue based in Buckinghamshire called Huntsmill Farm. Most of my job is looking at photos of people’s weddings and it’s all very happy
    • – I also run a cat sitting business, Lisa’s Cat Sitting, which I set up in 2018 basically as a way to see more cats
    • – I volunteer at the Milton Keynes Samaritans branch. It can be tough, but it is the most meaningful thing I think I’ve ever done
    • – I have a terrible habit of starting craft projects and never finishing themu
    • – I spend far too much time playing video games, particularly The Sims or GTA…
