Having a wild 2-year-old with bags of energy, any toddler activities that can help to wear her out are a winner for me. We’ve visited Big Mama’s Soft Play Cafe a few times now, and I love coming here with friends as Ivy can run around and play, and I can grab a coffee and chat with my friend.
The soft play is all laid out in the room, with tables and chairs for the adults to sit on and be able to see the children play. There’s a big bouncy castle with a slide, a ball pit, soft play shapes, various ride-on toys, as well as a range of toys and mega blocks to play with! And in the warmer weather, there is a small outside space to play in as well.

Once you arrive you’re free to go and play! Everything is laid out and your children are welcome to play with it all. When we’ve visited there’s been plenty of ride-along cars, prams, Duplo, soft play toys, and lots of toys for smaller babies too.

Ivy spends most of her time playing on the bouncy castle at Big Mama’s Soft Play, as she absolutely loves jumping! I frequently find her taking on other small toys to make them jump along with her! The bouncy castle also has a slide attached – although it’s quite high for smaller children, which is great fun to whizz down!

As I’ve mentioned earlier in this blog post, the room is laid out with lots of tables and chairs so you can sit and have a coffee while your little ones play. For us, this works brilliantly, as Ivy’s quite an independent 2-year-old and happy to play alone. The room is laid out so that you can still see your children, so if they do need help (or in the case of my child, cause trouble!) you’re not too far from them. It means I can grab a drink and catch up with a friend while the kids play. The cafe serves hot drinks, cold drinks, toasties, cakes and plenty of child-friendly snacks, all of which are reasonably priced too.
We love coming to visit Big Mama’s Soft Play – Ivy gets to run around and play, while I can enjoy an actual hot drink (and sometimes a sneaky cake before my child sees!) with a friend. There are the occasional sessions available on weekends too, we recently visited on a Sunday and I was able to take my partner along and chat with him while Ivy played which was nice!

I’ve Enjoyed Big Mama’s Soft Play Cafe, Where Can I Go Next?
If you’ve enjoyed Big Mama’s Soft Play, there’s a small park behind the community centre, or you’re a short walk away from Castle Park. Furzton Lake is also not far away, and there are a couple of different play areas there too.
