At weekends I’m always on the hunt for toddler-friendly activities for my 1-year-old. Working full time means I don’t get to experience taking her to playgroups and soft play during the week, and often things can be quite busy at the weekends, so if something has a dedicated toddler hour, I’m there! I recently discovered Gravity Milton Keynes does a parent and toddler session, not only during the week but also on a Saturday morning – which works perfectly for us!

Ivy is a very active 1 year old – once she learnt to move around she just didn’t stop! ‘Jump jump’ is one of her favourite activities, forever jumping off our sofas and on the beds at home, so I knew she’d love it before we even tried it out. Gravity Milton Keynes parent and toddler session give you a whole 60 minutes to the trampoline park, just for toddlers, so you don’t need to worry about staying out of the way of older children. In addition to all of the trampoline areas, there was also some soft play equipment and toys for toddlers to play with during the session, which was a nice touch.

We hadn’t been to Gravity Milton Keynes before, so it was great to have a quieter session to explore the park too. There was a ball pit area that Ivy absolutely loved! As well as an area with climbing frames and slides – although this wasn’t very adult-sized so watch out if you’ve got to follow an adventurous toddler around!

There were also some other activities and games dotted around Gravity Milton Keynes, me and Chris were having great fun with the dodgeball targets and basketball court! A lot of these were a little too old for Ivy, not that it stops her from trying to have a go. We had good fun at Gravity Milton Keynes, and Ivy definitely loved being about to ‘jump jump’ everywhere and burn off some energy!

How to find it
Gravity is located in the Xscape, Milton Keynes MK9 3XS – use the map below for directions.
Good to Know
- You’ll need to pay for parking outside the Xscape, and you’ll need a pair of Gravity’s socks which cost £2.50.
- Parent and toddler sessions are available to toddlers over 18 months, and under 5 years old. They run Monday to Friday at 9am, and Saturdays at 10am, they also have a dedicated SEN session on Sunday mornings – you can find the timings on their activity calendar.
- It’s also worth getting to the session before the start time, as it can take a while to go through the queue and then you have to watch a safety video before you’re allowed to go jump – which wasn’t great for us with an impatient toddler having to wait!
